Petco’s financial assistance allows our recycling partners to:

• Invest in the new plant and equipment that is required to deliver the tonnes of contracted recyclables demanded each year.
• Invest in testing equipment, quality control, and the development of new end-use markets.
• Ensure that their collection and recycling volume targets are met and that through adverse economic cycles, these programmes are sustained.
• Invest in the collection value chain directly and indirectly through the buying of recyclables.
• They increase the gate price (price that the recycler pays for recyclable materials) which in turn improves the earnings for the collection and recycling value chain.
